Passenger's Airbag Inflator recall
Honda Motor Company has determined that a potential concern may exist with the passenger’s airbag inflator in your vehicle and a Product Safety Recall will be conducted.
In some vehicles, the passenger’s front airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure upon deployment in the event of an accident. If this happens, metal fragments could possibly shoot out, straight through the airbag cushion material towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.
Solution
Honda Australia takes any matter of safety extremely seriously. Honda owners will be notified by mail and requested to make an appointment with their Honda Dealer to have this recall actioned. The Dealer will replace the passenger front airbag inflator
